This page sets forth the twenty-five doctrinal statements of The Living Word of Faith Ministries. Each numbered belief is presented with a concise explanation and the primary scriptural references that ground it. Our aim is clarity, reverence, and faithful exposition to guide worship, instruction, and fellowship.

Doctrinal Statements (1–8)

Below are foundational beliefs, each with a brief explanation and scriptural references.

  • 1. The One Living God

    We affirm one eternal, living God who is Creator, Preserver, Ruler, Spirit, and Redeemer. God alone is ultimate reality and sovereign over all creation and salvation.

  • 2. Inspiration of Scripture

    We hold the Holy Scriptures to be God-breathed, authoritative, and profitable for doctrine, correction, and training in righteousness; written through inspired men to instruct and equip God's people.

  • 3. The Holy Spirit’s Work

    We believe the Holy Spirit indwells believers, teaching, empowering bold witness, guiding mission, and enabling the church’s growth and sanctification according to God’s will.

  • 4. Five-fold Ministry Gifts

    Christ gives gifted offices—apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers—to equip the saints, establish ministry order, and mature the body of Christ for service.

  • 5. Spiritual Gifts Manifestation

    The Spirit distributes diverse gifts to believers for the church’s benefit; gifts manifest as the Spirit wills and are intended for edification, testimony, and God’s glory.

  • 6. Intercessory Prayer

    Persistent, Spirit-led intercession is a central weapon in spiritual warfare and kingdom advance; prayer is both duty and means by which God works for His purposes.

  • 7. Forgiveness—Given and Received

    God forgives repentant sinners; believers are commanded to forgive others. Forgiveness is both divine mercy received and a duty reflecting Christ’s reconciling work.

  • 8. Faith in Christ Alone

    Saving faith is a sacred duty and gift, calling believers to rely wholly on Jesus Christ as the one Redeemer and the basis of hope, righteousness, and life.

Statements 9–12

9. The Great Commission

Every Christian and congregation is commissioned to proclaim the gospel, make disciples, baptize, and teach, trusting Christ’s presence and promise to accompany the mission.

10. Salvation by Atonement

Salvation is by God’s grace through the atoning death of Jesus Christ; His sacrifice redeems sinners, accomplishes forgiveness, and restores right standing with God.

11. Justification by Faith

Those who believe in Christ are justified—declared righteous—by faith. Justification is a gracious forensic act of God that brings peace with Him.

12. Sanctification by the Spirit

Sanctification is the ongoing work by which believers are made partakers of God’s holiness through the Holy Spirit’s presence, leading to progressive conformity to Christ.

Statements 13–16

13. Baptism by Immersion

Baptism is the believer’s public immersion in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, signifying union with Christ in death, burial, and resurrection and commitment to new life.

14. Baptism in the Holy Ghost

We affirm the baptism in the Holy Spirit as a distinct experience evident, in our conviction, through the gift of tongues and empowering for witness and service.

15. The Lord’s Supper

The Lord’s Supper is a sacred ordinance that commemorates Christ’s sacrificial death, proclaims His return, and spiritually nourishes believers as they remember His body and blood.

16. Tithes and Offerings

Tithes and offerings are biblical practices for worship and stewardship, supporting the ministry and relief of need; giving should be obedient, generous, and joyful.

17–18

17. Generosity and Compassion

Righteousness, truth, and brotherly love are demonstrated through acts of generosity to the poor and needy; Christian charity is a concrete expression of faith.

18. Anointing with Oil

Anointing with oil signifies the Spirit’s presence and may accompany prayer for sanctification, healing, deliverance, and blessing as practiced in Scripture.

19–20

19. Laying On of Hands

The laying on of hands is a biblical means through which spiritual gifts, healing, authority, and blessing have been conveyed in the life of the church.

20. The Lord’s Day

We honor the first day of the week—the Lord’s Day—celebrating Christ’s resurrection with rest, worship, fellowship, and remembrance of the risen Lord.

21–22

21. Christian Education

A robust system of spiritual schools and instruction is necessary to mature believers in knowledge, wisdom, and faithful application of Scripture across generations.

22. Use of Hebrew Names

We affirm the proclamation and respectful use of the Father’s, Son’s, and Spirit’s Hebrew names to honor their unique character and biblical identity.

Doctrinal Statements (23–25) and Closing Charge

23. Celebration of the Feasts: We celebrate the appointed feasts of the Lord as prophetic and typological observances fulfilled in Christ, honoring their meaning in redemptive history and worship.

24. The Seventh-day Sabbath: We recognize the seventh day as Sabbath rest and worship, honoring the pattern of holy rest established in Scripture and the Lordship of Christ over the Sabbath.

25. Christ’s Second Coming: Believers live in readiness and hope for the visible, glorious return of our Lord Jesus Christ; this expectancy shapes holy living and mission until He appears.

These twenty-five statements summarize the convictions by which The Living Word of Faith Ministries teaches, trains, and lives. We present them humbly, seeking fidelity to Scripture, unity in essentials, and love in application. Members and leaders commit to uphold these truths in doctrine, worship, and life.
